poppy stamps

My sister moved to a new house this fall.  While I was there helping, I took time to pick pine cones from the trees around her house.  They were green and still closed.  I hot glued them onto a frame and let them dry out.  This caused the pine cones to open and completely fill out.  I really didn't want it to be just for Christmas, but for all winter.   I like the look that it created.

I found an abandoned birds nest and decided it would make a nice embelishment

DECORATIVE COVERED BOX

Covered Box
I created this box from an old map.  I tore it up and used modge podge to adhere.  I then stamped the box using keys and clocks.  I used my GELATOS to color all over the box in various shades of blue and green.  A little water was added to spread the colors.
Top of box
The swirls were die cut from a sizzix pattern.  the Nesting lace doily pattern is a die cut from Quic Kutz.  The key hole was then cut using Tim Holtz movers and shapers.   The pearls were made using Liquid Pearls.  The keys were cut from Spellbinder Shapeabilaties.
