FACE TIMING WITH BUDDY PAM 

We are learning so much from each other.  Tonight we worked on water coloring back grounds. 

FSJ liquid color was used on the blue background.  On the butterfly background I used FSJ Splashes to color the background.  This was an embossing resist technique.  Please feel free to contact me if you would like to learn how to use our products.

   Face timing is so much fun.  We challenge 

each other and it pushes us out of our 

comfort zones.  Tonight we chose Sweet berry, Catalina Splash, Cocoa and Buttercream card stock.  

We had to use all of the colors but could do anything with them.  The butterflies were cut out with the die listed. I used Sweet berry acrylic paint from Fun Stampers Journey.  I put it onto a craft sheet and watered it down.  I used tissue paper to lay down into the watered down mix.  Once the tissue was dry I glued it to Butter cream card stock. Do you have a friend that you like to craft with?  Does that person live far away from you?

My friend Pam .  She lives in Minnesota and I live in Wisconsin so we use face-time on our phones to chat together while we make cards.  It is almost as good as being with them. 

Our choice for today was to use the Family tree stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

                                  FACE-TIMING BUDDIES   

Face-timing with Pam this week.  Our theme was

to use a shape in multiples.  I chose to use the 

hexagon die set.  Pam used Ovals.                           

 The card base was also cut with a hexagon die.

I love our punch system.  My company 

asked us coaches to take a picture of

our self  with one of our products.  They

want to make a small video clip out of 

all our pictures. So here is mine.

                    EMBOSSING DESIGNER PAPER    

Buddy face-time with Pam Steffenhagen. I love how the embossing on the designer back ground turned out. We are both coaches for Fun Stampers Journey.  

This is such a fun technique!

Take a piece of patterned paper and put it in an embossing folder.  

Once the embossing is done, swipe ink across the embossed piece.

        WHAT A DIFFERENCE AN EMBOSSING FOLDER MAKES!

I have talked about face-timing with Pam before.  She wanted my to try a new card fold using layers.  Both cards were made with the same measurements.

The outside card piece measures

4 1/4" x 11"

score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2"

The inside piece measures

3 1/4" x 9"

score at 3" x and 3"

The center piece with the image

is 2 3/4" x 3"

It is funny how 2 people can look at an image and copy it.  My BFF and I did some face-timing tonight.  We both looked at a card on pinterest and cased the same card.  I love how hers turned out different from mine but they are both pretty.
This is a photo of her card.  The only difference is that I did mine of Denim blue and she used Black licorice card stock.

My BFF and I live hundreds of miles apart but we bring paper to life via Face time.  It is so much fun and almost as good as having her here with me.  This is the card I made last night with her.

The background paper was made a while ago.  I used FSJ Liquid colors on water color paper.  Then I laid a stencil on top and spritz water.  I then blotted the water off and lifted the stencil.  It leaves a watermark of the stencil by removing some of the color.  The boots and flowers were colored with FSJ Color Burst pencils.  Hit the shopping cart button to link to me.
